He had called me seeing me standing in the lobby of the old guest house. We stood infront of the nehu old guest house and he did his job. I was remembering seeing the person during the inaugural session of the seminar where he was busy with his Nikon, stretching through his neck and its cover hanging around on the other shoulder, clicking the snaps, one after another from different angles and edges, far and wide, zooming in, zooming out. My thoughts on the present situation in NEHU a central university 2nd April 2010 As I See it… It was good Friday today, for me it is was a better Friday. Last Friday was on 26th March and we at the department of commerce were all busy with the national seminar on Global Economic Crisis and Indian Industry. It was its first day, and being seminar director it was a very busy Friday for me. So in this context this Friday was better than the earlier Friday. After so many months it was a good family outing. I kept trying getting details of the village called Mawlynnong – the cleanest village. Just thought it is proper time in place to visit this village. Many of us might not have visited. Cleanliness is a virtue, cleansing is closely associated with it. But what to do instead we chose to go to Nartiang Monoliths. They remind us of their rigidity, solidness, and silence all around. Ranjan, just 42 years of age, was the CEO of SAP-Indian Subcontinent, the youngest CEO of an MNC in India . He was very active in sports, was a fitness freak and a marathon runner. It was common to see him run on Bandra's Carter Road . Just after Diwali, on 21st Oct, he returned home from his gym after a workout, collapsed with a massive heart attack and died. The earthquake today at around 2:30 pm (IST) was quite an experience which shaked the northeastern part of India. It was holiday because of Eid, so all of us were having a nap after the lunch, suddenly we felt as if the bed is shaking, or else just as if someone is there under our bed, but then we realised it was an EARTHQUAKE, after a while again another attach hit and we jumped out of the bed. In the evening while watching TV we learnt that it has its epicentre at Thimphu, however when it was being reported by different channels that it was near Guwahati, I was guessing it must be the eastern part of Bhutan and later learnt from internet sources that yes it was in the eastern side of Bhutan. I think I never experienced such a strong Quake (6.3 on the richter scale). It has harmed some houses and lives in Bhutan, my condolences for all my bhutanese friends. May Guru Rinpoche give them strength...

Papaji was no more..............the news was communicated all through via telephone....We made several calls to our relatives, near and dear ones informing them of the fate of Papaji.........who came all the way from India to die in US. US, they say, is land of dreams, I could not agree to that. I was busy making calls and calming dowm mummy and chuttoo was busy making calls for the treatment of the deadbody. Collecting nos of the crematoriums from the hospital, ringing them up, finding exact locations etc etc....and then the priest....and his friends started gathering around the room just within 20-25 minutes, it was Saturday, so they must have been relatively freee...Jennifer asked me who are they, first i said my brother's friends and then I corrected myself and told her, they are all my brothers, she was amused on this.
